If
you have traveled on Highway 40 between Heber City and Park City lately,
you have noticed a buzz of construction activity around the Mayflower
exit. This area along the western side of Deer Valley Resort is set to
become the nation’s newest ski community, Mayflower Mountain Resort. The
resort is on track to begin winter operations for the 2024-2025 ski
season and will offer state-of-the-art facilities, including a new
high-speed lift system, on-mountain dining, and lodging options for all
types of guests.
The resort's runs will cater to all levels of abilities, from
beginner-friendly trails to challenging expert runs. In addition to
skiing, the resort is planning to offer a variety of other winter
activities, including snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice skating,
and more.
Conveniently
located between Park City and Heber City, visitors and residents
will enjoy easy access to all the amenities, charms, and
entertainment offered in Old Town Park City as well as the Heber
Valley.
Salt Lake International Airport offers more than 340 daily
flights to 95 nonstop destinations. Traveling to and from
the airport is a breeze. With zero stoplights between Mayflower
and the airport, the typical travel time is around 40
minutes.

real estate developments are in progress in and around the resort,
providing a wide variety of offerings ranging from estate lots and
luxury homes to cabins and condos. See below for all the latest news on

The
skiing component will consist of 4,300 acres of skiable terrain
with 3,200 ft of vertical, offering both groomed and off-piste skiing.
Mayflower Resort's skiable area will make it larger than other
significant resorts such as Blackcomb, Steamboat, Snowmass, Aspen, and
even our own Deer Valley®. The varied terrain, designed by firm Snow
Engineering, will be accessed by 15 aerial lifts, including a two-stage,
base-to-summit gondola. Snowmaking will be available on 750
acres.
While
the ski area operator agreement has not been finalized, talks are
ongoing with Alterra (owner of Deer Valley® Resort).
The Morale,
Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Hotel will be a 642,000-square-foot
conference hotel in the heart of Mayflower Base Village. The hotel
amenities will include a restaurant, coffee shop, bar, fitness center,
pool, ski lockers, and underground parking in addition to:
Military
personnel and their families, both active and retired, will receive
discounted rates for accommodations at this property. The project
will include a block of 100 rooms that will be available at a
preferred rate for active duty and retired service
members.
This
is the first hotel to emerge from the base village, with
completion planned for December of 2024 and snowmaking set to
commence for the 2024-2025 season. This includes the completion
of the first portal under Highway 40, which will provide skiing
connectivity between Mayflower and Deer Valley® Resorts to the
existing communities of Sky Ridge, The Lodge at Stillwater, The
Views at Stillwater, The Shores, and Lakeside at Mayflower.

Tiger
Woods and TGR Design have recently announced that they are
working on a new championship golf course near the new Mayflower
Resort. This is exciting news for golf enthusiasts as this will
be the first TGR Design course in the Mountain West. The new
championship 18-hole course will be the first of a 36-hole
facility to be built at the Marcella Club. At 8,000 yards in
length, it's set to become the longest and highest-elevation
golf course in the state.
The new course is expected to open for play by the 2025 season
and will only be open to members. This exclusivity is part of
what makes this development so special.
Tiger
Woods, one of the greatest golfers of all time, expressed his
excitement about the location of the new course. He called it one of
the most dramatic he's ever seen, and he is looking forward to
bringing such a special golf experience to life. Woods has been
designing golf courses since 2006, and he's worked on many
high-profile projects all over the world. He has designed courses in
the United States, Mexico, China, and the United Arab Emirates. His
reputation as a world-class golfer and course designer is
well-deserved, and this new course in Utah is sure to be a highlight
of his portfolio.
Marcella is
a collection of luxury ski-in/ski-out homesites situated on a hillside
expanding out of Mayflower Base Village. It includes
139 single-family estate lots in a gated community, which offer
direct ski access through public and private trails. Amenities on the
property are expected to include a community clubhouse, indoor-outdoor
pool, yoga studio, theater, climbing walls, arcade, and a private boat
for water sports on the Jordanelle. Members of the exclusive Mountain
Club will receive skier services, valet, dining, and access to a
member's lounge. Additionally, residents can enjoy Main Street lounge
access in Park City, which offers spa services and a private rooftop
lounge.
Marcella
lots range in size from 0.25 acres up to 8
acres, allowing residences between 3,500 and 8,000 square
feet. The larger home sites will allow the construction of a main
home along with a guest house. The estates sit at elevations
ranging between approximately 6,300 - 7,500 feet and offer direct
ski access into Mayflower Village. Future owners are allowed to employ
their builders and architects. Nightly rentals will not be
permitted within Marcella.
MARCELLA
GOLF MEMBERSHIP | The Marcella non-equity
golf memberships will include access to a clubhouse, pool, tennis, and
food and beverage operations. Membership is expected to be capped at
