As
the late summer sun beams down on Park
City, we can't think of a better way to
spend a day than with our canine
companions. The Dog Days of
Summer is one of our most
popular newsletters, and for good
reason: people here in "Bark City" are
crazy about their dogs!
We hope you enjoy the following
canine-related news and events, as well
as some fun ideas for spending time with
your pups. Please take note of the
increased emphasis on our local animal
rescue organizations this year. Due to
an increased influx of animals in our
local shelters post-pandemic, these
organizations need our
help.

HELP
WANTED
Our
Local Rescues Need
You!
Our community is
fortunate to have some
of the
best
animal rescue operations
around, but they need
our help! Many of our
local shelters are
operating at high
capacities, and they
could use assistance,
whether in the form of
fostering, volunteering,
or donations. The Park
Record did a great
feature earlier this
summer on the shortage
of foster homes in
Heber. Please
consider helping one of
our local rescue
operations!

Ever
wonder where avalanche
dogs receive their
training? We were pretty
curious about this
ourselves, so we found
an article
from
SnowBrains.com
that provides a deep
dive into the rigorous
process of training a
patrol dog. We look
forward to seeing our
local team of avalanche

later this
